The 2008 Los Angeles Festival of Film Noir
The Los Angeles Festival of Film Noir is put on by the American Cinematheque and the Film Noir Foundation. In 2008, this event will be spread out over 3 weeks, from April 3rd to the 24th.
This year, all of the films will be shown at the beautifully restored Egyptian Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood.
For three long weekends, from April 3rd to the 24th, the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood hosts Noir City's illustrious L.A. version. The films are mostly rare or not available on DVD.
Each night there will be a double feature to indulge in. Don't miss the Dick Powell double feature, the James Mason double feature, the Barbara Stanwyk double feature, the Lizabeth Scott double feature, the Peter Lorre double feature, the Edward G. Robinson double feature or the Steve Cochran double feature.
Additionally, there will be an "Unjustly Accused?" double feature, a "hostage noir" double feature, a "swamp noir" double feature and even a "tough dames" double feature. Plus a few more.
