The 2008 Los Angeles
Festival of Film Noir

Egyptian Theatre neon sign

The Los Angeles Festival of Film Noir is put on by the American Cinematheque and the Film Noir Foundation. In 2009, this event will be spread out over 3 weeks, from April 2nd to the 19th.

This year, all of the films will be shown at the beautifully restored Egyptian Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood.

For three long weekends, from Thursday-Friday each weekend, the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood hosts Noir City's illustrious L.A. version. The films are mostly rare or not available on DVD.

Twenty two of the 24 films shown will be ones not available on DVD. Plus, there will be a tribute to Ann Savage, who died this past year. Each night there will be a double feature to indulge in.
